Glassical Sculpture

This amazing art glass chandelier by Jim Embrescia hangs in the entrance to the Italian American Museum in downtown Los Angeles.

The young man at the museum told us that this piece represents the many paths that Italian Americans took to arrive in the United States.

IAMLA is a small but artfully put together, with sleek video presentations housed in a truly lovely set of rooms. The hardwood floors and clean walls in the former speakeasy area made us want to mount an exhibit or give a reading.

Just part of a fun day in downtown Los Angeles with Jane and Dana. More photos to come….
